Thanks are due to Him for concealing my faults and sins. May Allah bless the Messenger, Muhammed and give him peace upon whom Allah revealed the surah of Qaf. To commence: I introduce this book Major sins written by Imam Dhahabi in another form. As I verified the text, documented1 the hadiths and maxims, and elaborated on the difficult words. Thus, it is better to keep on reading this book day and night alone and aloud. You have to bear in mind that what you view in this world is either good or bad, clear or vague, a lust followed by sorrow or sins followed by gloom.

Allah, the Most high, promises whoever avoids the major sins to expiate his minor sins. Allah, the Almighty says, If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your lesser sins and admit you to a noble entrance [into Paradise].
Allah, the Almighty says, And those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. We are obliged to learn about what the major sins are, so that Muslims may avoid them. Scholars of Sacred knowledge are of different opinions about the number of the major sins. Ibn Abbas holds that they are likely counted as seventy not seven.
That is a good point of view because enumeration is not intended in the Hadith. We have to bear in mind that some Major Sins in Islam are most heinous than another. This is because the Prophet pbuh has enlisted Shirk worshiping others with Allah though a polytheist will suffer eternal torture in Fire and will never be forgiven. Allah, the Almighty, says, Verily! Allah forgives not the sin of setting up partners in worship with Him, but He forgives whom he pleases sins other than that.
And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. So they will be thrown in Hell. Rather, it is worse for them. Their necks will be encircled by what they withheld on the Day of Resurrection. And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] — then an equal number of days [are to be made up].
Such are they whom Allah has cursed, so that He has made them deaf and blinded their sight. Adultery And come not near to the unlawful sexual intercourse. Verily, it is a Fahishah [i.
And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? But you are a people transgressing. So whoever has received an admonition from his Lord and desists may have what is past, and his affair rests with Allah. But whoever returns to [dealing in interest or usury] — those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein. Is there not in Hell a residence for the arrogant?
And whoever turns his back to them on such a day, unless swerving [as a strategy] for war or joining [another] company, has certainly returned with anger [upon him] from Allah, and his refuge is Hell — and wretched is the destination. The way of blame is only against those who oppress men and wrongly rebel in the earth, for such there will be a painful torment. Verily, Allah likes not each arrogant boaster.
And be moderate in your pace and lower your voice; Verily, the harshest of all voices is the voice of donkeys. And [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity. Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist?
And those are the defiantly disobedient, Except for those who repent thereafter and reform, for indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. And whoever betrays, [taking unlawfully], will come with what he took on the Day of Resurrection. Then will every soul be [fully] compensated for what it earned, and they will not be wronged. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise. But whoever repents after his wrongdoing and reforms, indeed, Allah will turn to him in forgiveness. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment, Except for those who return [repenting] before you apprehend them. And know that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror]. Racing ahead, their heads raised up, their glance does not come back to them, and their hearts are void. And do not kill yourselves [or one another]. Indeed, Allah is to you ever Merciful.
And whoever does that in aggression and injustice — then We will drive him into a Fire. And that, for Allah, is [always] easy. Narrated Ibn Abbas: The Prophet pbuh cursed women who imitate men and men who imitate women.
The Pimp and the One Who Permits His Wife To Fornicate The fornicator does not marry except a [female] fornicator or polytheist, and none marries her except a fornicator or a polytheist, and that has been made unlawful to the believers.
One of them never saved himself from being soiled with his urine, while the other was going about with calumnies to make enmity between friends. And when they stand for prayer, they stand lazily, showing [themselves to] the people and not remembering Allah except a little. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other.
Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. Indeed, the commitment is ever [that about which one will be] questioned. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart — about all those [one] will be questioned.
Picture-making Verily, those who annoy Allah and His Messenger pbuh Allah has cursed them in this world, and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating torment. Indeed, Allah is with the patient. And verily, whosoever shows patience and forgives that would truly be from the things recommended by Allah. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful.
By Allah, he does not believe. He does not oppress him, hang back from him, coming to his and or belittle him, it is sufficiently wicked for someone to demean his fellow Muslim. For someone to wish for a different father is unbelief.
But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss. Do they not think that they will be resurrected for a tremendous Day — the Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds? Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful. Thereby, the Prophet permitted him. But when a warner came to them, it did not increase them except in aversion.
Hold it and stick fast to it. Avoid novelties in religious matters , for every novelty is an innovation and every innovation is an error and every error is in hell. If someone is not a Muslim that does not mean that they will be excluded from the punishments ascribed with each Sin in the Hereafter. May Allah guide us and protect us from all forms of evil.
